Title: Shell model study on exotic nuclei and uncertainty analysis on liquid drop model

Abstract:

Many exotic properties are found in the proton- and neutron-rich nuclei near the drip line. Shell model study are performed on these properties, including binding energies, electromagnetic moments and transitions, and β decay. In the proton-rich side, nuclei around A=20 are well described when the weakly bound effect of proton 1s1/2 orbit is included. In the neutron-rich region, the psd shell nuclei are systematically investigated through a new Hamiltonians.

The statistical and systematic uncertainties of liquid drop model (LDM) are investigated under simple statistical assumptions. Two uncertainties are assumed to be normal distribution and obtained through the residues between LDM and observed data. The statistical results are agreed with the physical consideration, such as the residue of light and closed shell nuclei distribute mostly inside the systematic uncertainty which means they are not well described by LDM.

About the Speaker:

袁岑溪博士于2002-2006年就读于北京大学元培学院,获理学学士学位;2006-2012年就读于北京大学威廉williamhill官网在线登录,获理学博士学位;其间,以特别研究生身份于2010年10月—2011年12月在东京大学理学院物理系跟从Takaharu Otsuka教授和Toshio Suzuki学习。2012年7月—至今在中山大学中法核工程与技术学院工作。主要研究方向为原子核理论和反应堆中子动力学。已发表SCI论文6篇,被美国艺术与科学学院院士、美国国家科学院院士、美国物理学会会士等多国知名学者引用。主持国家自然科学基金、广东省自然科学基金、教育部高等学校博士学科点专项科研基金、广州市科技计划珠江科技新星项目等多项科研项目,参与973项目、国家自然科学基金重点项目、国家自然科学基金重大国际(地区)合作研究项目等多项科研项目。
