Title: Nuclear electric dipole moment as a probe of new physics beyond standard model
Speaker: Dr. Nodoka Yamanaka, IPN Orsay, France.
Abstract:
The electric dipole moment (EDM) is a very sensitive probe of CP violation beyond the standard model. Light nuclei are particularly interesting since the CP violation may be enhanced by nuclear many-body effects. In this talk, we first explain the relation between the particle physics level CP violation and the EDM. We then present our results of the theoretical evaluation of the EDM of light nuclei (2H, 3He, 6Li, 7Li, 9Be, 11B, and 13C).
