Title:Gaussian expansion method and its application in multi-quark systems
Speaker:Dr. Gang Yang, Tsinghua University
Abstract:
During the past few decades, a precision numerical calculation approach, Gaussian expansion method (GEM), had been widely used in investigating on few-body systems which were related to hadron physics, nuclear physics, cold atom systems etc. In this talk, firstly, the general concept of GEM will be introduced. Then a simple application in 3-quark baryons whose eigen-energy are obtained by solving the????h????????????????equation with variational method will be discussed. Thirdly, based on the two hidden-charmonium pentaquark states which had already been announced by the LHCb collaboration in 2015, a brief review on the theoretical explanations to the hidden-charmonium and -bottonium pentaquark states by means of GEM in chiral quark model will be presented.
About speaker:
Dr. Gang Yang obtained his Ph. D. degree from Nanjing Normal University in 2017. He is now a postdoctoral research fellow in Tsinghua University. His main research interests include multi-quark systems, exotic hadron states and hadronic spectrum.
