Title: Weak decays of heavy baryon in the light front quark model
Speaker: Prof. Hong-Wei Ke
Abstract:
Light-front quark model is a relativistic quark model based on the light-front QCD. The basic ingredient is the hadron light-front wave function which is explicitly Lorentz-invariant. The hadron spin is constructed using the Melosh rotation. The light-front approach has been widely applied to calculate various decay constants and form factors for the meson cases.
We extended the light-front quark model to study the weak decays of Λb and Σb in the heavy-quark-light-diquark picture of baryon. Our results are consistent with those given in the literature. The application of the extension of the light-front quark model to baryon has achieved a preliminary success. In a recent work, we treat the three quarks as individual ones and possess their own color indices, spin polarizations (or helicities) and momenta. In one word, we make a three-body calculation rather than a two-body one.
